On this Mother's Day, I am humbled, honored, and thrilled to share with you that the official Jane Schaffer Writing Program has
become a new and integral division of Louis Educational Concepts, LLC.
Jane's family and I have been in communication for many months, and the
purchase was finalized in March 2011. This division is dedicated
to Jane's memory and her life's work.
I lost my mother when I was 22, but I believe she has since watched
carefully over me, sending a handful of strong women to guide me in the
different areas of my life. I have always believed that Jane was one of
those sages whom Mom sent.
Jane and I were friends and colleagues for years. Before she
passed, we mused over many corporeal and incorporeal topics; however,
regarding her professional life, we discussed how proud she felt that
she was able to work with teachers to instruct both high and low
performing students in effectively communicating their thoughts. Within
days of her death, Jane was still discussing the future of her great
passion and contribution to education that inspired and molded so many
of us. I will do my best to continue her work, her vision, and her
passion.
