School Has Begun
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
What a whirlwind, right? I am amazed at the flurry of activity at the beginning of a school year. No matter how long I am in education, no matter how much preparation in June, July, and August, the beginning of a school year wears me out! Let's not talk about age . . . I think the reason is because of the combination of excitement, nerves, and the craziness (you know what I mean!)
So, Louis Educational Concepts and its sister company, a non-profit corp called Center for Educational ReVision, Inc., have been busy providing Jane Schaffer Writing workshops, matching mentors with master teacher candidates, organizing incentive programs, ordering technology for schools, and moving into its new office in Dallas, Texas.
- Since the beginning of August, we have provided Jane Schaffer Writing Program® workshops in California, Florida, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. We even have an international client in Saudi Arabia.
- The Confer® Mentoring Program has matched 79 teachers with state and nationally recognized mentors, whom we call Catalyst™ Mentors because their being added to the mix accelerates and enhances the teaching experience.
- Our foundation friends are devoted to improving education, and we are designing and customizing incentive programs for several districts.
- Instructional Technology is beginning to interest many districts as they learn how to integrate technology into the curricula in order to produce global citizens, prepared for work in the 21st century.
- And our new office . . . well, we haven't quite moved, yet, but when we do, we'll have a studio for video streaming and on demand multimedia training to add to our professional development opportunities.
- We're excited about the work we are doing to serve educators. We're excited about the future of education.
Have a wonderful 2011-2012 school year! Be great! Our children depend on us.
